- Primary contact for men’s soccer, women’s basketball, softball, women’s tennis, and swim and dive. The job duties include social media and content creation (60%), sports information (30%), and other duties (10%). Daily tasks include updating game notes, writing previews/recaps, taking and editing photos and videos, writing copy for multiple social platforms, monitoring engagements, and creating graphics. 

- Managed coverage for men’s soccer conference championship win and NCAA tournament appearance. 

- Gained a total of 3059 followers on Twitter and Instagram accounts for primary sports in seven months.

- Game day tasks include but are not limited to scheduling play-by-play managed press box, managing live stats, creating in-game social content, and live tweeting.

 

Athletic Communication and Marketing Post-Grad Intern | University of Minnesota Duluth Athletics

July 2022-Present

Primary communication contact for men's hockey (D1), football (D2), and Tennis (D2). Primary job tasks include managing team's social media on multiple platforms, writing game notes and previews and recaps, creating graphics, media relations, managing the press box and stat taking. Job also requires management and oversight of student workers. 

Increased Instagram followers on the men's hockey account from 15,700 followers to over 16,700 in seventh months.

Secondary communication contact. A primary focus in stat taking, writing game previews, and producing social media content across multiple platforms.

Division 2 Athletic Communication Student Assistant | NMU Athletics 

Sept. 2019-May 2022

Secondary media contact for Nordic Ski team. Primary duty includes writing recaps of events.

Duties among other sports include taking stats, creating graphics, and writing game notes and programs.

Cover social media platforms during games, including floating for the content of @NMU_Wildcats Instagram of over 7000 followers.

Superior Edge and Volunteer Center Coordinator | NMU’s Center for Student Enrichment 

Aug. 2021-Present

  • Responsibilities include assisting with the promotion and implementation of Superior Edge and for implementing programmatic components in the Volunteer Center. Other duties include helping full-time office staff with projects.

 

Kayaking Guide | Pictured Rocks Kayaking

May 2021- October 2022

Guides take groups of 12 on tours along Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The job requires great communication skills in order to explain how to kayak, talk about the rocks and their history, and interact with customers on the tours.

Guides must also have good attention to detail as they are in charge of the lives of the customers in the kayaks. Extensive training in kayak rescues, boat procedures, CPR, and first aid is required.  

Athletic Promotion Intern | NMU Athletics 

Sept. 2019- March 2020

Event operations include running athletic promotions during events. The position requires being able to multi-task and work well under pressure.

Special Events Coordinator | Northern Michigan University

Planning, organizing and running events for students at Northern Michigan University. This job require extreme organization, and attention to detail, as well as good communication skills.
